Thank you for your incredible interest in the Africa Quantum Consortium Roundtable! We're thrilled to announce that registration for the event is now closed. We've finalized the agenda, confirmed our lineup of speakers, and sent invitations to all registered attendees.

The roundtable takes place tomorrow, Saturday March 15, at 8:30 PM CET (adjusted to accommodate colleagues observing Ramadan).

1. Welcome Remarks
   Farai Mazhandu (Founder and Convenor, AQC)

   • Setting the stage for the event, highlighting the importance of unity in Africa’s quantum community, and the vision for the AQC.

2. About the Africa Quantum Consortium
   Dr. Taha Rouabah (CQTech PI and AQC Convenor)

   • Overview of the Africa Quantum Consortium’s mission, goals, and impact on the continent’s quantum technologies landscape.

3. AQC Working Groups and Initiatives
   Atadana Sogodam (Quantum Innovation and Impact Lead)

   • Presentation of the AQC’s ongoing working groups, key initiatives, and collaborative efforts to drive innovation and engagement within the quantum community.

4. Keynote and Positioning of AQC as a Grassroots Cooperation Platform for Africa
   Prof. Ahmed Younes (Alexandria Quantum Computing Group, Steering Committee Member at IYQ2025 and World Quantum Day)

   • Keynote address on the pivotal role of grassroots efforts in shaping Africa’s quantum future, and AQC’s positioning as a collaborative platform for growth and progress.

5. Strategic Sharing, Actionable Learning, and Collaboration-Building Presentations

   • Prof. Sonia Haddad (Co-convener of the Condensed Matter and Materials Physics Group for the African Strategy of Fundamental and Applied Physics)

   • Prof. Adel Trabelsi (President of the Tunisian Physics Society, Scientific Counselor for the EURATOM Program, and Theoretical Quantum Physics & Quantum Computing Strategist)

   • Sharing strategic insights, actionable learning, and collaborative initiatives to foster impactful partnerships and innovations within the African quantum ecosystem.

6. Africa Quantum Summit, Nairobi, August 2025
   Shannon Mujera (Youth Lead)

   • Presentation on the upcoming Africa Quantum Summit in Nairobi, discussing its importance as a landmark event for the quantum community, and how it will shape Africa’s quantum future.

7. Call for Contributions & Next Steps
   Dr. Taha Rouabah

   • Invitation to contribute to AQC’s initiatives, and discussion on the next steps to ensure actionable outcomes from the roundtable.

8. Closing Remarks
