It’s time we stop asking whether Africa is ready for quantum and start asking whether global quantum systems are ready for Africa’s scale, problems, and vision. This review draws from literature, expert insights, and data to map how quantum tech—especially when combined with AI—can help Africa accelerate progress on poverty (SDG 1), education (SDG 4), inequality (SDG 10), climate resilience (SDG 13), and meaningful global partnerships (SDG 17).
