Africa Quantum Consortium Event Spotlight
Quantum Science and Technology Across Africa | June 23–27, 2025 | Scottsburgh, South Africa
Happening This Week: Quantum Science and Technology Across Africa
QST Africa 2025 brings together quantum researchers and leaders shaping Africa’s quantum future. The Africa Quantum Consortium (AQC) emerged through early collaboration and strategic conversations with many of the leaders attending—Ahmed Younes, Andrew Forbes, Happy Sithole, Mourad Telmini, Henry Martin, PhD, Riche-Mike Wellington and others—whose insights and leadership continue to shape the foundation and agenda for a unified continental vision.
We’re especially excited about this event following AQC’s successful June 14 Roundtable
which convened 80+ leaders across sectors. QST Africa is a timely opportunity to deepen alignment and momentum toward a coordinated African quantum strategy.
Expect engaging keynotes, public lectures, poster sessions, and roundtables focused on research, education, innovation and policy. Junior researchers will also contribute, energizing the future of Africa’s quantum ecosystem.
Africa’s quantum momentum is real—but now we must prove we can integrate where we’ve long been fragmented.
QST Africa is more than a gathering—it’s a signal that Africa’s quantum leaders are stepping forward with one voice and a unified vision. As the landscape matures, coordination is no longer optional—it’s a strategic imperative.
AQC is already operating as the backbone for lasting alignment - connecting efforts, leaders, and vision across Africa.
Together, let’s deliver the quantum future Africa deserves.
Thank you to Thomas Konrad, Isaac Nape and the team for bringing everyone together.
The Africa Quantum Consortium is the driving force uniting Africa’s top minds to collaborate, innovate, and propel quantum technology forward across the continent.
