The World Quantum Day Quantum City Prize celebrates public-facing quantum science activities in urban spaces — and Africa must be seen and heard in this global forum.

✅ This is quantum in the streets: posters on buses, murals in neighborhoods, sound installations, street demos — creative, visible, unexpected.
This city prize is per continent worldwide prize organized by World Quantum Day, endorsed by IYQ2025 and AQC is cooperating with WQD to make it successful in Africa. We’re calling on you — leaders, scientists, artists, educators, founders, city planners to collaborate and bring your city to life with quantum.

2️⃣ Host your public quantum activity by October 14, 2025
Note 📅 Key Dates:
October 14, 2025: Deadline to apply for the Continental Quantum City Prize
November 2025 (2nd half): Continental Award Events
January 2026: World Quantum City Prize Award Ceremony

Three winners per continent (small, medium, large cities)
Winners go on to compete in the World Quantum City Prize in January 2026
An African jury of scientists, creatives, and civic leaders will select the best entries
