Africa Quantum Consortium: Bi-weekly Moves & Progress | April 9 Summary
From Aspiration to Action: Powering Africa’s Quantum Future
We are making irreversible progress.
At our latest bi-weekly meeting, the Africa Quantum Consortium shifted from ideas to action, from intention to ownership, and from vision to execution. No more waiting. We’re building on two pillars: Local Expertise and Global Partnerships.
We're not chasing relevance—we're creating it. The talent, tools, and drive are here. On April 9, we proved it.
Leaders from Dakar, Cairo, Nairobi, Harare, and Johannesburg—alongside IBM South Africa, the Ghana Commission for UNESCO, University of Tunis El Manar, QWorld, ARC-EDS, and more—came together under the AQC banner.
This was more than academia. It was a powerful convergence of researchers, industry voices, civil society, young talent, international partners, and government actors—all contributing insights, commitments, and energy to drive Africa’s quantum future forward.
With bold decisions, clear deliverables, and new initiatives launched, we’re advancing our mission: To make Africa the global epicenter of quantum innovation.
